Offered is a vintage black and gilded regency style chair that was reproduced from the original set (c.1800)owned by Gov. R.F. Withers Alston, second owner of the Nathaniel Russell House in Charleston SC. The back features intertwined circles and the seat is cane with an upholstered pad. 
It would be an outstanding detail in any room (accent or dining chair).
