Set of 4 luxury black lacquered dining chairs designed by Jean Claude Mahey for Roche Bobois from the 1980s. These Hollywood Regency dining chairs have a Asian Chinoiserie style to them. The dramatic dining chairs have a glossy lacquer finish. The seats of the chairs have been reupholstered in a bird motif upholstery. Frames have been touched up and detailed, but small imperfections remain.
This set is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity but is well documented in design history.
